After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2016, Dr Williams entered private psychiatric practice in Adelaide, where she assesses and manages a range of complex adult psychiatric presentations. Since 2025, Dr Williams has run a dedicated medicolegal practice.

Drawing on extensive clinical experience across a range of psychiatric presentations, Dr Williams brings a depth of understanding to complex and challenging cases. Her trauma-informed approach reflects a genuine recognition of the profound impact that traumatic experience can have on mental health, behaviour, and functioning. Medicolegal assessments can be a daunting experience, often occurring at already difficult points in people's lives, and Dr Williams takes care to create a calm, respectful environment in which people feel genuinely heard and understood.

Dr Williams welcomes referrals for independent psychiatric assessment, with a commitment to delivering timely, thorough, and impartial opinions that assist legal and administrative decision-making.
